Monday's Book Spotlight

You all know that I'm a fan of Sawyer Bennett. She has some new releases out and you need to read them! I've read all three that she's released with these serial romances. I'm addicted to this story, y'all! The first one in the Legal Affairs serial is free! You might as well give it a chance. I don't think you'll regret it.

Objection (Legal Affairs, #1)
One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.

Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.
Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.
Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.
Today? Well, today I’m contemplating having an affair with my boss.

Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he’s made it clear… he’s only interested in sex.

My name is McKayla Dawson but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.

But between you and me, I’m afraid my heart won’t survive these Legal Affairs.

Each new volume releases every two weeks and the third just came out last week! What are you waiting for? Go get your copy! If you've already read them, tell me what you think. Are you loving them as much as I am? What do you think is going to happen with these two?

Monday's Book Spotlight

I am a HUGE Sawyer Bennett fan and her books have appeared in my spotlights before. Today, her latest release, which went live yesterday, is my spotlight. I can't wait dive into this one and meet the sexy Flynn. Who else is going to read Off Chance this week?

Off Chance (Off, #5)

He is seeking absolution.

Flynn Caldwell has a hero complex and it’s one of the reasons he joined the New York City Fire Department. He has spent his entire professional career trying to atone for that one person he failed to save. Because, if he can do that, then perhaps he can be worthy of love again.

She is seeking escape.

Rowan Page’s life is nothing short of a disaster. Always immersed in trouble, she has only herself to depend on. She’s determined to pull herself out of this mess and make something of her life, despite the hard years she has lived on the streets of New York.

Together, they have the chance to become complete.

Flynn and Rowan’s worlds exist miles apart, but when a chance meeting brings them together, neither of them can deny the instant pull that connects them to each other. What starts as a tiny spark eventually flares into a fire so hot, it refuses to be extinguished.

For it to work, both of them will need to jump feet first into the flames to see where it takes them, despite the risk of being burned.

Top Ten Tuesday: Authors Who Deserve More Recognition

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

These are the top six authors that I think deserve more recognition. The books I mention are the ones I have read by that author. So go read their books and then we can talk about them! :)

In no particular order:

Sawyer Bennett - Author of the Off series

Shelly Crane - Author of the Significance series and Wide Awake

Lacey Weatherford - Author of the Of Witches and Warlocks series

Jamie Magee - Author of the Insight series

Laura Kreitzer - Author of the Timeless series

Kieryn Nicolas - Author of Rain and Flawless Ruins

Who would make your list? Have you read any of these authors?

Check Out This Cover!

In case you didn't know, I'm a huge fan of fellow NC author Sawyer Bennett and her Off Series. The fourth book, Off Course, is set to release August 4th and I'm so excited!!!

Today, the cover of Off Course was revealed and whew. *fans self* I just had to share because I'm in love!

Renner Caldwell has her life perfectly mapped out. She has the ideal relationship, the perfect job and all is right in her world. When a shameful turn of events happens, she boards the first plane bound for Ireland to lick her wounds and get her head back on straight.

Cillian O’Braidagh is the sexy, front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman’s fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there’s just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n’ roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked Off Course, find her footing with the man who is teaching her it’s okay to lose control?

These are my top four and you should read them all!

Delayed Penalty (Crossing the Line, #1) Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) Off Limits (Off Series, #2) Wide Awake

What are the best books you've read so far this year? Tell me about them so I can add them to my TBR!

Monday's Book Spotlight

Off Limits (Off Series, #2) This week's book is the second in the Off series by Sawyer Bennett. I don't think you would have to read the first book, Off Sides, to read this one, but it's probably a good idea that you do, just so you can appreciate this one fully. You can see my thoughts on Off Sides here.

From Goodreads:
“There is a vulnerability there, hovering just below the surface. And I want to pick at it until I expose it. Then I want to kiss it."

Two years ago, Emily Burnham, had an epiphany about the shallowness of her life. And she made it her mission to become a different person…a better woman. Out from under the controlling thumb of her mother, Emily is tasting the real world for the first time. And she likes it.

Nixon Caldwell has served his time in the Marine Corps, surviving two brutal tours in Afghanistan. He is back home, surrounded by what he likes best…isolation. It's certainly the best way to avoid confrontation of the consuming guilt that is weighing him down.

When an accident brings Emily and Nix together, he soon learns he is not the master of his own fate. Struggling with his own pain, Nix tries to guard himself against Emily’s charms. He wants her in his bed, but he doesn’t want her in his heart.

Having grabbed life by the horns, Emily wants it all. But is she willing to accept just the small part of himself that Nix is offering? Can she reach the part of his soul that he has deemed to be Off Limits?
